Heartland Contracting has a written safety manual that is continually monitored for changes and improvements. We require that all Superintendents and team members complete, at a minimum, the OSHA 10-Hour Training and First Aid Certification. We also perform weekly “Toolbox Talks” at our job sites for specific safety training and to address potential hazards and partner requirements for that specific job site.
Heartland also holds Avetta certification which monitors and provides one of the highest sets of safety standards and practices. We also have a select group of field personnel that are certified through PowerSafe Training, a specialized training for the utility and nuclear power industry.
Our managed efforts have been successful as our current Experience Modification Rating (EMR) is 0.79. Firms with EMR’s below 1.0 are considered safer than most.
